Seward Varsity Football Games at Concordia
SEWARD HIGH VARSITY FOOTBALL GAMES 2010
Once again, SHS will be playing their Home Varsity FB games at the Concordia University stadium this fall.
Details regarding the games:
1) Only Varsity games will be played at Concordia. All junior varsity, freshman, and junior high games will be played at the Seward HS field.
2) Fans may enter at the following entrances:
a) the north and south entrance gates on the east side of the stadium.
b) the gate on the west side of the stadium.
Please do not attempt to enter anywhere else!
c) Due to potential liability issues, we ask that fans NOT bring the following to games:
a) Pets
b) Footballs, soccerballs, etc
c) Skateboards
d) Parking will be available in available campus lots and in the lots north and east of the HHPAC building
e) Seating for Seward fans will be in the east bleachers. Seating for visiting fans will be in the west bleachers.
f) The Seward High School Booster Club will be serving their “world famous” grilled burgers, brats and hot dogs at all home varsity games. Proceeds go to the Booster Club Scholarship fund!
g) Due to potential liability issues, we ask that all fans remain off of the football field, track, and out of the Concordia fieldhouse before, during and after the games. Only authorized supervisory personnel will be allowed in the aforementioned areas.
h) A concession stand run by Seward High School student groups will be available at the top of the east bleachers. Restroom facilities are also located at the top of the east bleachers.
i) Please, no shelled snacks, (sunflower seeds, peanuts, etc., inside the stadium!! Not only do they make a big mess, they can also cause damage to the synthetic turf. Thanks for your help in this area!
j) The entire Concordia University campus is an alcohol and drug-free campus. Tobacco products are allowed outside of the football stadium only. Seward High School will enforce this policy.
k) In case of severe weather, all fans will be directed to the lockerrooms in the field house or to the Janzlow Center south of the stadium until the threat has passed.
The Seward High School Marching Band will be marching to the stadium from the high school. Band Route
1. Northern Heights Drive to N. 2nd Street
2. N 2nd Street (heading south) to E. Bek Ave.
3. E Bek Ave (heading east) to Plainview Ave.
4. Plainview Ave (heading south) to Hillcrest Dr.
5. Hillcrest Dr. to Concordia FB stadium
If the Marching Jays pass by your house, we encourage you to go outside and support them!!
One last item – Good sportsmanship is an expectation of Seward High School, our opponents, and The Nebraska Schools Activities Association! We ask your cooperation in this extremely important endeavor! Be a good sport and a good model for our students!! Seward High School does have a “No Tolerance” policy when it comes to acts of poor sportsmanship. Fans exhibiting poor sportsmanship will be warned once – if they continue to exhibit poor sportsmanship, they will be asked to leave the activity. Further actions may be taken if necessary!
