From the Counselor
Achievement Testing at Seward Middle School
The students at Seward Middle School will be taking the Terra Nova achievement tests during the week of March 22. They will be taking the tests in the morning and going to their regular classes in the afternoon. All middle school students will be testing Tuesday through Thursday of that week and the seventh graders will take an extra test called the In View on Friday.
High School Counselors Meeting With The Eighth Graders
On March 31st the Seward High School counselors will be meeting with the eighth grade students about scheduling. The eighth graders met with Mr. Weatherholt for a couple of days in November and a couple of days in December and were given a chance to investigate careers. During those days they also had a chance to talk about transition to the high school. Possible class schedules were investigated and documented.
As a freshman there is not a wide variety of class options to pick from after the requirements are taken. During their visit on the 31st the high school counselors will give the eighth graders some guidance in the scheduling process and help them build their schedule for the 2009-2010 school year.
