A special meeting of the School District of Seward Board of Education was held on February 17, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the Administrative Offices at 410 South Street, Seward, Nebraska.
Vice President Williams called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. stating that the meeting had been preceded by advance publicized notice and was convened in open session.
REMINDER OPEN MEETING LAW
The president reminded those in attendance that a copy of the open meetings act is posted on the north wall of the board room.
On roll call all board members were present except Seaman who would be arriving later.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Moved Duer seconded Garske to approve the agenda as presented. On roll call the vote was as follows: Voting Yes: Duer, Garske, Rumery, Pekarek, Williams. Voting No: None. Absent and Not Voting: Seaman. Motion carried.

DISCUSSION ITEMS
4.1 Middle School Sites—Dennis Scheer from The Clark Enersen Partners and Jerry McCall from Education Consultants shared a proposed school site evaluation process with the Board.
Seaman arrived at the meeting at 7:55 p.m.
4.2 Bond election information and election planning were discussed.
Moved Williams seconded Duer to table the motion to hold a special bond election on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 or to place the bond election on the general election ballot November 2, 2010 to the March meeting. On roll call the vote was as follows: Voting Yes: Williams, Duer, Pekarek, Garske, Rumery, Seaman. Voting No: None. Motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Moved Duer seconded Garske that the meeting be adjourned at 9:38 p.m. On roll call the vote was as follows: Voting Yes: Duer, Garske, Williams, Pekarek, Rumery, Seaman. Voting No: None. Motion carried.
I, the duly qualified and acting Secretary of the Board of Education, Seward, Nebraska hereby certify that the attached and foregoing minutes are a true and correct copy of a meeting of the Seward Board of Education held February 17, 2010 which meeting was preceded by publicized notice.
